A 5,400 sq ft home on Minot Road, built in six weeks
The Malek family brought their plans to Millbrook: cherry hardwood floors, granite counters, a four-car garage, 9-foot ceilings and a focus on going green. The home was built in six weeks, shipped to Concord in 10 trailer loads and assembled within two days of delivery.
Its walls are 10 inches thick and filled with high-density insulation, paired with a 98% high-efficiency furnace. The modular foundation went in within four hours. “The benefits of building your own house is you get exactly what you want, how you want it,” said Cary Orlandi.
The home carries a 10-year guarantee, with the foundation guaranteed for 15.
